Are aftermarket lower control arms nescarry? Read further...
I am going to be lowering my 00 coupe on koni yellows/gc coilovers about 2.5 all around. Will lower control arms be nescarry? Also, will I need a front/rear camber kit when I lower my car? I have heard so many mixed rumors and I hope someone can show me the light so I (and everyone else) can put this topic to rest.

No, you don't need a camber kit. Specially with a 2.5" drop. LCAs will not be necessary either.
All you need is an alignment afterwards, but make sure you tell them to reset the toe to 0 as close as they can. Tell them not to worry about camber at all.

I wonder if it would at least be worth upgrading to a 99-00 si lca? I dont understand how this works. How can I drop my car 2.5 inches and not mess up teh camber of my car? Doesnt camber wear out your tires? I know toe does the most but doesnt camber effect it greatly also...

WTF? hold up i have to think about that one, yeah WTF? i've never heard of that and a camber kit is not going to prevent if it was to happen!!
to the op, if you have between 13" - 15" rims, then i wouldn't worry about getting a kit. if anyhting higher then yes, just for the sake of the tires, but it's not needed.
also the only lca i suggest is the oem ones that have the mounting points for a sway bar. anything else would be a waste of money.
just get a good alignment.

no, aftermarket lca's reduce weight they arent needed to lower your car.
and no you dont need a front and rear camber kit to lower your car. you use them to preserve the life of the tires which wear out pretty bad when car has negative camber from being lowered. I personally use shims with longer bolts on the rear and just rotate my tires often. i currently have a 2.75 inch drop on a 98 hatch. I use to own a 00 ex with the same drop and same setup. If your worried about preserving tire life then the best thing you can do is get a good alignment and maintain correct tire pressure.

Ok, well tahts good to hear. Im rocking 15" gold gt3s, so I should be fine. What kinda experience with drops do you guys have? I am used to my old eg, which ran H&R Sport springs and gave me a 1.8F 1.6R drop. I figured 2.5 all around would be pretty healthy. I want to look low and clean, but be able to get around town fine and dandy.

true but lca's are good to have so you can run a wider tire like 205-50-15 without rubbing it says it brings it in a little for clearance

This is the main benefit from aftermarket lca's, but make sure you do your homework if you want to get some. I remember a while back, there were reports on here of pretty shoddy manufacturing w/regards to some companies that make these.
