Default Oil SPRAYING out the top when doing compression test???

Ok, i did a compression check today...and cylinder number 3 was spraying oil out the top....when i shine a light down in there...i can see a perfect drop of oil on top of the piston....is my valve seals or guides gone bad???

I dont smoke out the exhuast...only at high boost a little greyish smoke comes out, but thats it...

My compression readings are

#1 205, 210
#2 220, 215
#3 222, 210
#4 215, 215

I have omni valve train with REV valves, a machine shop did my valve work...is it possible they did a crappy job?

I hope its my valve guides or seals and not my piston rings...

How do you determine if its your rings or valve seals???

Also i notice my vac is now 17-16, use do be 20...car still idles the same...just vac is a little lower now...I dont know whats the deal....

Any one have any suggestions??

do a leakdown test to see if its the rings or valve seals

Are you sure its not fuel? Did you pull the ECU fuse when running the compression test?

I did a leak down test today...all cylinders leak no more then 5%...yes i was sure to shut the fuel off...i have a switch for my injectors and fuel pump and i turned them both off...plus it was black...so i know its oil...i duno whats the deal...i just wanna be sure its not my rings...

my car is also overheating....its peging over the H to after 10 mins of normal use...i got a new oem thermostat, new PWR radiator, new top and bottom hoses, and new cap...how long does it take to bleed the system? im guessing i still have tons of air in it...

I don't see that much air being in it. I can see it rise if it has air. unless you filled it half way.

i had the same issue and it happened to be valve guides. the machinist didn't properly install the guides and leaked from there. typically, that's about 350-400 clams to fix. hopefully it's just the seals. how many miles on the new valvetrain?

around 5000 miles...but i was expeiencing the same symptoms when i first drove it around the the first 1000 miles....i didnt think of it much since it was a built motor...not being turbo...the symptoms is amplified now after putting turbo on it...so yeh...im guessing the machine shop botch my head job...im taking it to another place this time...thanks!

Yeah im having similar issues as you. But im also noticing a constant light stream of smoke from my breather hose on the back of the block. Motor has 200 miles, runs perfect, and 180 compression across the board. I still have to do a leakdown this week. Im frustrated though.
