Car memory problem??

Default Car memory problem??

Hi guys a few days ago my cars clock wouldnt light when i turned it on but thought nothing of it...but then the next day i realized my radio had been reset as if the battery had disconneted...everything was reset??? so now my car wont hold memory of anything...ive been trying to check the wiring but nothing seems wrong there.....anyone have this problem??? well any help would be great...thanks

check the back up fuse under the hood or the radio fuse in the box under the dash

depends on what kind of radio you have. some jvc and other will still turn on and function, without a memory wire.

check your ground wires. had the same problem, until my car didn't start one day. turned out to be one of my ground wires. never had a problem since then on.

how did you check your ground wires??? which ones did u mean?? radio ground??

i had this problem a while back as well. my car would reset and i'd lose all radio settings and what really sucked is it when it reset while i was driving because my car would die and i would lose my power steering for me what happened was my postive battery cable was loose and was not fully connected to my battery, so a little bump would rattle it off a bit and throw everything out. so be sure to just check your battery connections
