How does the ECU throw a code 21? The VTEC solenoid is just a switch and not a sensor, it doesn't give feedback to the ECU, so how does it sense if the VTEC solenoid is bad or hooked up wrong?
My Vtec pressure switch works perfectly.. well i'm jus trying to fix this problem..

I would imagine it can tell from the VTEC pressure sensor. If the VTEC solenoid engages, then the VTEC Pressure sensor would see an immediate change in oil pressure at that location. If it doesn't, it throws a CEL.

Just a logical guess.

hhaha,, stupid me. turns out that pin A4 at the ECU wasn't making contact with the ECU. lol.. all this time, troubleshooting and tracing wires, and trying everything turns out to be the stupidest thing ever. all I had to do was take pin A4 out and push in a little metal tab on top of the pin so that the ECU pin would make contact.
