Here it is, I got a turbo kit from them for around 1500.00. I called them 4 times and asked the sales guys, "does this come with an intercooler like in the pic", they said, yes it does. Ok cool, so I ordered it and when I got it, it looked like a bunch of nothing I could use and O yeah no intercooler!!!

So I called them and they said o we thought it did, I said ok well what can we do, he calls me back and says all we can do is give you one at cost or you can return it and we will not charge you a restocking fee. Well after looking at the kit and seeing it would take to much work to get it on I said, I'll send it back. Now this was about 3 mo ago. I got a refund in the mail for 1300.00 I said ok where is the rest, I called and spoke to the sales man and he said he will find out what happend and call me back, well no call back. I called him and he would say, well I turned in an order form and I am waiting for them to send it out. So I wait and wait and nothing. Now I called them today and he tells me that they are not going to give it back to me, that "sorry but this is the restocking fee". Now I am pissed!!!

I know it's a hundred and some odd dollars but it's mine and I am not rich. I also know this is a big mitsu company and you guys may not buy from here anyway, but when I was a mitsu head I had bought a lot of stuff from them.

I thought I would just vent thanks for reading.

 

sucks but next time try to get important stuff like this in writing.
it could be as simple as saying" can you email me right now while I'm on the phone with you, that you will do this?"

 

damn that sucks man, from now own try to get it in writing. That's the only thing that got my money back from another shop.

I've made a note to only buy from h-t sponsors.

They are one of the lousiest vendors in the DSM community.

I am seeing this and my reply from the owner was there is nothing they can do. I was like WOW thanks for the help!!!

They were always good to me in my DSM days, but now that they are big I guess they dont mind screwing over some little guys.

SLOWBOYRACING - One of the top 5 worst companies to ever deal with.. Has been from day one, still is to this day.. they get a big fat from me.

DSMtuner.com keeps delting my post's, I think SBR is a spo, But most of the feed back I am getting Is bad. They have had 9 complants from 1/2004

if you had used a credit card, you coudl have disputed the charges and the card company most likley woudl have returned them to you.

 

My roommate had a motor built by them.
They took 2 months longer than promised, then sent out an engine with different pistons than he had ordered, but he just took it because the car had to get back on the road.

2 freeze plugs came out of the engine. One fell out with the first start and put coolant all over the shop floor, necessitating an engine pull.

When my roommate picked up the car, another one popped out on the road, causing him to loose all his coolant, and though he pulled over and shut off immediately, the engine overheated.

Mike Huml from slowboy racing said that excessive blow-by during break-in was responsible for the freeze plugs popping out. Of course, that's impossible, because the crankcase and cooling system aren't connected in such a way, and there was no indication of a blown headgasket.

After a 2nd engine pull, a new head to replace the warped one and a tow, Slowboy Racing refused to do anything for my friend, and he had also made the mistake of not paying with a credit card.

Slowboy racing are a bunch of incompetent ********, and they typically have great difficulty fulfilling any orders that are more complicated than tossing some parts into a box.

DSMTalk.com has a habit of deleting negative posts about vendors as well. It's funny. Lots of people will report great experiences with slowboy, but the only ones who do ordered SS brakelines, intercooler hoses, and simple pre-packaged items that Slowboy merely resells. People who order engines and other complicated items such as ported turbo housings generally have universally poor experiences.
