Default Bought a turbo kit, damaged intercooler

I got a intercooler that got supposedly hit by a pothole by previous owner, and was wondering if it's still usable. The bottom 2 rows of fins look like they were completely taken out, and one side has a decent sized dent in it. The first row of fins that gotten taken out looks completely obliterated also, can see through most of the row. They welded it back into place, and looks to be holding good. Just need to know if this is gonna affect it in anyway, I haven't ran it yet, previous owner said it still worked but I wanna make sure.

Save the end tanks, buy a new core and have it welded?

Is it that bad? Sorry I'm new to this stuff, would it cause too much air leak out or what

They probly capped off that row,(only one tube, the bottom is a plate) and put it back for looks?
Plug it and submerge in a kiddie pool or bathtub and check for leaks,
or run it over to a radiator shop and have them test it, they're all set up for that.
Obviously, you are deleting some of the cores capability/efficiency, but not much.
Looks gnarly, but maybe would be hidden by bumper?

Scrap it. Get another one. Too much work to go through all that for just a Precision Core. Not saying we're all made of money here, but there's trying salvage something usable, and then there's desperately trying to salvage something that may possibly be usable. This isn't worth the work, IMHO
