Clutch putting lots of pressure on gears
Hi everyone,
I havn't posted here in a while, but I had a problem come up recently with my clutch. I have a 95 gsr with 99k miles and I recently noticed my clutch feels like its putting more pressure on the gears when I have the clutch engaged. Its also is a lot harder to **** gears. Sometimes when I am sitting at a light in first gear with the clutch in, the tranny feels like it grabs the gear for a split second and the car almost stalls. I don't think its a problem with just wear and tear on the clutch since it grabs a lot lower to the floor now. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for you help

Check the hydraulic system, how' the clutch fluid level? If it's low check for master slave cylinder leak. For master look under the dash and check to see if there is any fluid leakage from under the black cup seal. For slave you're gonna have to remove 2 bolts that hold the slave onto the tranny and inspect for leakage.
Clutch fluid level is fine, but Im going to try changing it. I really hope its not the clutch becasue Im going to sell the teg after this school year, and I just dropped $1500 on new brake pads, rotors, and calipers. But this problem came out of no where and my clutch had felt excellant before this happened. Even when my mechanic drove the car he said it felt fine. Any other ideas or am I really looking at a new clutch?
If the hydraulic system is okay then you're probably gonna have to deal with a broken clutch disc. The hub pieces and springs are know to come apart in certain areas and will not allow the clutch to disengage completely... check out this thread.
