Default Some help...P28 ecu acting weird!!!!!

Ok i bought a P28 ecu chip with crome and the person i bought it from use it in his car a 98 civic...i got the OBD2b to OBD1 harness and plug the ECU in. ANd here is the problem..the ecu was for a auto. but i converted to a manuel like it was shown in this site. When i start the car up it would idle at around 1500rpm and it won't let me go pass 4100 rpm...seems like it hit redline. So i ask the person that i bought it from and he said that it ran fine in his car. I forget to mention it is for a 00 civic SOHC turbo. He stated that it have the crome base map for turbo.I also have the missing link installed...could that be a problem? If i pull the chip out it still do the same thing! With or without the chip! So i went and cut the J1 so that i would be back to stock rom, and it idle at around 2000rpm! So does anyone know what is going on? Help is SO needed here! Thanks!
