Multiple choice time, Question: "Staying out of boost"?
So I was thinking about this after I've read a few threads about people asking how they should get their untuned newly boosted ride to the tuner. Lots of the responses were people suggesting to "stay out of boost". I am not sure I follow what this entails.
Multiple choice time...
A) Does this mean drive super slow before your turbo reaches full spool?
B) Taking off your charge pipe and let the turbo spool into the atmosphere (Naturally aspirated motor)?
C) Taking out your wastegate spring (I heard this one recently)?
D) None of the above and I'm just on crack...

D: none of the above and you're on crack
keeping it out of boost is simple... all you need to do is partial throttle it... this means that you are runnin anywhere from 30 vaccuum to 0 vaccuum.... no boost at all
as long as you keep your foot off the floor, you arent boosting it

you should tow it there and not drive it at all
or you could cause damage

i have a fully built ls vtec. i drive mine on stock ecu and stock injectors no problems. i just keep my foot from going into boost. i just drive normal it's not difficult. i don't give it more gas one the guage reads 0.
VERY important Don't go into boost.....not even slightly.
BTW my motor doesn't burn any oil and it has 1620 on it now. still very light honey color

D:
just drive it like a normal human being.
1 psi is ok, so if you tip into boost coming off of a red light your ok.
i drove around for 500 miles on a dx ecu with stock injectors to break in my engine.
