In looking around this forum, I see a lot of the high-HP street cars going for GT-series turbos, or other water-cooled turbos.
What oil-cooled turbos like the SC61 are good for overall powerband & horsepower rating, without having to deal with coolant lines, fittings, etc.
I know it's not THAT hard to switch to a water-cooled turbo, but I'm just wondering what the best oil-cooled only turbos are out there.

looks like the bigger sc61's are good with high horsepower applications.
it also seems like the t3/t67's are popular on higher HP setups.

the good old t3/to4e 57 or 60 trim turbos are cheaper in price and still make great power.......and are only oil cooled/lubricated.
the sc61 is also a good choice for some bigger power numbers.

Yeah I've got a Precision SC50 (T3/T04e 50-trim, .48 a/r exhaust, with a ported compressor housing).

I never said I planned on it. That's why I'm asking what the best oil-cooled turbo for that level would be.

t3/t04e 60-trim with .63ar should be good to 450whp+ with the proper tuning....
