Default Engine Overheating- what should I check

I serchedjust making sure now

I plan on buying a new thermasta tommarow, and a fan switch because mines doesnt kick on for ****, but other then what do i check. I
m going to flush out the engine too tommarow with the thermastat out.


What do i check to make my car not overheat anymore.

flush the cooling system and be sure there is no air in the system and that you are using the proper mix of coolant to water. you can check the resistance on the thermostat to be sure that it is within spec and working properly. or you could have a restriction in the cooling system.
