pretty much done wiht this now, its a peakboost kit using a 57 trim on my friends 97 gsr. overall im happy with how it came out, for the price the kit came with bad *** parts. i should have the car on the dyno for tuning in the next few weeks. i think im gonna look for about 260/180 conservative tune (stock motor, 130k miles, perfect 220 compression) at 7 psi. setup is as follows:
peakboost kit
t3/t4 57 trim
7.25 psi spring (i had to get this one for him, the kit came with a 3.6psi one)
act hdss clutch
es mount inserts
rc saturated 550s
walbro 255
uberdata
soon to be kteller 3" wiht no cat and a 3" straight through muffler
heres some pics:

the intercooler core is thick as hell, but i got it pretty tight up under the bumper support. we had to use a 2" 90 degree bend to come off the compressor then transition into the 2.5" piping.
my concern right now, notice how low the exhaust is. if i said there is more than 2" ground clearance i think id be lying to you. there is about 1" between the bottom of the oil pan and the top of the flexpipe. its almost like the dp is too long before it bends under the pan. now granted this car is low, but its not that low that the dp is 2" off the ground. what do you guys suggest for fixing it?? take out an inch of the dp between the turbine and the bend under the pan????

yea that sits way low, I have 3 inch dp(custom made) and it sits only about 3/4" lower than the oil pan so yea u can deff. get that dp to sit higher.
nice setup, alot like mine

The last set-up I did had a low downpipe as well. I'm guessing they do that for clearance on aftermarket oil pans.
The set-up I did managed to hit 307whp at 13psi on a stock b16a... so your goals are definetely do-able.

hey guys, thanks for the replies. still a few small bugs to get out (boost gauge nylon hose is pinched, the dp issue, stuff like that). i think my friend will be real happy with it when we are done, i dont think he has ever driven a car with more than 175 hp.
My peakboost dp is really low as well. I'm going to cut 2 inches off the downside, and move the flex joint further back behind the oil pan so it will tuck inside the oil pan tunnel. Kinda sucks I've got to do it to a brand new dp, other than that
for Peakboost.
for Peakboost.
The way the downpipe hangs has been mentioned in the big Peakboost thread.
Our's is the same way and the only way it'll tuck up any higher is by moving the flex section further back.

i custom made my dp with a friend, and it was a total pain in the ***. i had to redo it maybe 3 times (to properly position my ecutout). if the low dp is the only issue with the peakboost kit thats not bad at all.
we wound up welding a vband on the end of it after the flex so that we can match up flanges much easier, so i think rather than get a new dp we will just remove maybe 3/4 inch off the downsection of this one. gotta see what the owner wants still

yea the downpipe on my civic sits just as low as yours has the same peakboost kit. big up for precisionH23a for the great tune he did on the car

My DP is to low also on my PeakBoost D series kit. I ended up raising the car up a little. besides that the kit is A+

as low as the downpipe is on this( and ive seen worse) its mainly the flexpipe dumptube and the flexjoint in the dp that are hitting anything, so not a total big deal. i did a lil more work on the car today, it jusst sucks cuz it only gets worked on for an hour or 2 at a time due to schedule conflicts.
list of things to do still is:
install catchcan
rig up the air filter.
exhaust
tuning!!! vacuum a/f is pretty good, but boost a/f starts climbing into the low 12's a little after vtec, so i told my friend to not take it above 4500-5000 for the time being so the a/f is still 11's

yea i see what you are saying. take a piece of 1.5" flexpipe and slip it over the dumptube and clamp it. use that to extend the dump out under the motor. i did that on this car, i think in the 2nd pic u can kinda see the flexpipe haning down to the left of the downpipe
