Default Stock exhaust compatibility

A friend of mine has a hole in his exhaust on his 93 Si Hatchback. Theres someone parting out a 92 VX hatchback and hes willing to part ways with the stock exuast. Will the VX factory exhaust fit on the 93 Si? Someone told me the catalytic converters were different (in some way) and that it wouldnt work. Could you possibly just swap them from the axel back?

The VX exhaust will fit, but you won't have a cat on the bottom anymore. (straight pipe). That's how my stock VX exhaust was

wrong. it will not work. if you put the vx on the si, it wont have a converter on it. on the si, the converter is after the header and on the vx, the converter is in the header

I remember I had to run my VX exhaust for a while with my B16. Fireballs shot out for some reason lol

Yeah thats why I asked about the axel back part. I knew someone mentioned something about the converter issue being different. As long as the axel back section fits then there are no problems.
