I would search, but the term VX will not run through the search feature... its a quick questions, so i hope someone can reply!

what exhausts will fit my 1992 VX hatchback? will the one from a CX, DX, etc. be bolt-on? Mine needs to be replaced, and i wanted to keep my options open.

thanks for any replies

Well actually any exhaust made for 92-95 hatch will fit your car, i have a 95 VX, so just look for any you should have no problems bolting it on

Aftermarket companys such as RSR, apexi, greddy only list DX and SI in there systems.

Reason is The VX and CX have the CAT on the header. DX and SI are normal cat under the car setup.

I do not beileve that anyone makes a direct bolt on exhaust for the CX/VX.

what you do is get a SI header, collector (or b pipe) and cat, then pretty much any system for the hatch will bolt on.

I would have to tell you, you will pretty much be wasting your money with an exhuast sytem for that VX motor. If your not going to turbo, or get a decent motor (even a nice VTEC SOHC, not Vtec-E) then dont waste your time or money. Your going to see virtually no gains from a exhaust system with the VX/CX motor. Maybe a tiny tiny bit of power and TQ, but for sure not enough to justify the money spent.

Since you need a new one, maybe pick up a SI setup, from the header to the muffler, extend your 02 sensor and your done. bet you could do that setup for about 100-150 bucks!

Default Re: VX Exhaust (James Bond)

this is for 0% performance... its a temporary fix, until i get my engine swap

my exhaust is rattling, and i wanted a stock replacement part, and it seems that those for DX and such are more abundant. If the CX will work, ill keep my eyes out.
