Whats up with that? Is the exhaust position different between models?

yes on the vx the cat converter is on the exhaust manifold so the setup is different, to bolt up the exhaust you need an si or dx header and a new cat

No dude it will come NO where close to fitting and unless you want to replace your stock header and cat, from any D-series engine from 92-00 other than CX or HX basically, (or an aftermarket header and cat for that matter), it requires a lot of fabrication for it to work.

yeah....kinda. The cat is directly under the exhaust manifold, opossed to under the car like most other models, but not literally on it. And you don't need a new cat, you could use the header and cat from, well see ^. The vx cat MIGHT work, I'm not sure. I think they are the same but i'm not sure. But for sure you'll need a new exhaust manifold (or header) or a lot of fab.

Yea, he's running a b16 so it doesnt matter really.

Bottom line, will this exhaust work with a h22? Yes or no?
