Can you get it for a car withe a manual trany??? I think my friennd said it was illegal but im not sure.

 

I dont think it is illegal... It is possible, they do some kinda clutch bypass... you just have to make sure your car isnt in gear when you leave it.

 

I know in GA its illegal. The person at the shop I go to said that if you leave it in gear and use the remote start its going to jump forward. That would be bad if someone was standing infront of it.

 

Well ya everyone knows if u leave it in gear and crank it its goin to jump thats why in some states its illegal. I think there is a wire that needs to be cut to bypass that clutch safty thing.

 

It is very possible, get a clifford g5 series you cant leave it in gear with this system. I install these all the time. Any shop should be able to do it. Clifford dose not support remote starting manuals anymore they only supported in the g4 systems, but the g5 systems have the same remote start units so they will work.

 

i know in most states having a remote start on a manual car is illegal. i actually have the viper 791xv on my civic ex (manual). u just gotta remember if u leave it in gear not to remote start ur car. if u dont it looks like a big remote control car!!
