i'm putting a d16y8 into a hx civic. i'm using the stock hx engine harness which has a 5wire o2, but the d16y8 has the standard 4wire o2.i'm also using the p2p ecu which runs the 4wire o2. how do i make it work? can i just eliminate the extra wires? if so which 1?or do i have to re-pin 4 new wires?

i have been told by a locl shop youd have to re-pin unless you want to chip your p2p and go with a primary o2 removal. im doing that in my hx. right now my primary o2 is unplugged. its unplugged because its burnt up and car runs like poo with it plugged in. i know skunk2 makes a program that eliminates the o2's individually see if someone there can order you the correct chip. that would be the easiest way to do it i think.

 

there has be to a way to wire up the 4 wire o2.anyone know the ecu pinouts for a obd2a civic? i think i'm just run 4 external wire from the ecu to the o2. which pins for o2?

 

any other solutions?
