I have a walbro fuel pump installed in my 97 Civic. I noticed it would make a rumbling or groaning noise ever since it was installed 6 months ago and the noise would come and go. Very noticeable during idle. Strong enough to vibrate the car.

I also notice my fuel pressure gauge needle moves a lot even though it is liquid filled.

Only experience I have with the Walbros was on a 90AWD Talon. Sound was a louder whine but no rumble.

 

my walbro in my teg will whine and make pulsating whines, pretty loud with the rear seat out, cant really hear it when the seats in tho.

 

Ive only heard my walbro pump make a whine sound when i turn it on. Its just putting pressure back into the lines after its sit for a while. Never heard of a pump making a noise like that when its idling and the system has bled out all the air :S

 

is it going bad or is it already far gone? don't wanna risk the motor over an $90 part...
