Any idea what my fuel pump is trying to tell me? When I first start the car, it's quiet but after a while (like when the engine is warmed up), the fuel pump starts making a constant whinning noise. It's noticable and is easy to hear above my exhaust (which is pretty loud unfortunetly).

Time for a new fuel pump?

I don't have back seats but I didn't on my Integra either and the fuel pump never made a sound.

From what I hear it's common sound of the fuel pump. Mine's quiet but most everybody else says that theirs makes a whine

is it aftermarket? some aftermarket fuel pumps are loud as a bitch.

Nah it's stock.

Hrm.. well it's pretty darn loud.

Are the walbro fuel pumps loud? I was thinking about getting one (if this one is messed up).

bigger fuel pumps have a slight whine. really big fuel pumps have a very distinct whine. ever pullup to a suburban and hear that high pitched noise.. thats the fuel pump

ahhh i always thought that was the Flux Capacitor

does it make the whinning noise on a full tank? If your tank is on Emty or running low...that might be the problem
