Ive got a walbro 255 fuel pump in my crx and the ******* thing makes a squeel/whine type of noise. Its completely constant and pretty high pitched. I can hear it very much when it primes but when the motor gets running the exhaust drowns most of it out but if you stick you head close to the gas tank you can defietnely hear it.

Is this normal for the high pressure pumps?

in my experience yes they are pretty loud.

The walbro 255lph HP is quiet compared to a external pump such as A1000. u should be happy that u have the pump u have.

I dont mind it, i can actually barely hear it I would still be happy if it was louder lol

I just wanted to make sure the squeel wasnt anything bad and that something was wrong

Mine 255lph standard is only loud when I prime it. Then it's silent.

yea my friend talon is crazy loud as well as his 240sx

the honda one's are noisy but i dont call it loud

its the H/O pumps that are loud. My standard 255lph is pretty quiet. Most of the time when a fuel pump is loud, its going bad, but not on the walbros, there actually normal. Just turn the music up lol

does yours get louder when you have like 1/4 tank or less? I guess its just cause its not submerged in fuel so its louder but mine gets real loud when its low and when its sloshing back and forth in there. Other than that its just loud when its priming, I cant hear it over my exhaust. I dont have back seats either...

Anyway, yeah, I've noticed definently after a long highway drive, it's really loud.
