i am installing a system in a 93 teg and was figuring out how to install the cap correctly. this is how it is set up but i have a question..

the power wire from the battery is connected to the cap

(battery)---red wire--->(cap positive terminal)---red wire--> (amp positive terminal)

but what do i do with the negative? do i ground it to the chassis or hook it up the the negative amp?

what do i do with the negative amp wire? confused please some assistance

 

(chassis)---black wire--->(cap negative terminal)---black wire--> (amp negative terminal)
