which manfct. makes the best soundsystem you can buy. headunit, amp, sub, speakers, etc.

Well, a budget and a goal (SQ, SPL, etc) would help in answering your question.

IMO, you can't do better than a/d/s/ for a full system (minus the headunit of course). Great SQ stuff.

Although it's really cool to have all matching components, often it's not the road to the best overall system. Most companies only do one thing well rather than everything well.

So far I like Eclipse head units,
Audio control processors( though my current MTX crossover has never let me down ),
Sony and MTX amplifiers have proven reliable, and at least nice enough for my everyday systems.
I can't say which speakers, they are constantly changing, and therefor I listen to several options when shopping for speakers.

how about Alpine, Focals, PPI, McIntosh, Xtant, ZapCo, MB Quart, Eclipse/Fujitsu Ten, Nakamichi?

i had them in my previous car, i liked them a lot. especially for the deal sounddomain is offering for them. sounded really good, but a pita to mount. they are pretty deep speakers and oversized 1/2". so they are 7" for the 6.5's.

I have a pioneer premier head unit which i like and just ordered some polk audio DB speakers for my rear deck. I have had the polks in the past and was pleased with their sound (i have components, these new ones are 6x9)
