do u guys know wat the door speaker sizes r? I heard its 6 1/2" but im not sure. Also, i got a 10 kicker sub and door speakers. I dont know much about systems but is it a good brand? and its powered buy a 600 Watt Xplode AMP. how would the sound be? thanks

 

Determining sound just by what you typed is nearly impossible...so many variables, including how its wired, materials used...type of enclosure its in...blah blah blah blah blah...

Doors are 6.5" (atleast in my wife's 04)...as far as the quality of the brands, Kicker's been around a while, guess it really just depends on what you want out of the system, if your looking pristine, nah...if you just want better than stock...yeah, probobly.

Sony is a great company, but typically, their mobile audio is entry level at best, typically sub par.

They are usually what you'd find as entry level equipment at your local Best Buy or Circuit City, nothing wrong with them really...if your satisfied with entry level audio equipment. Like i was saying, sony makes great electronics, but their mobile audio line of stuff for the most part is just mediocre.

 

for what you pay for sony car audio, you can get better for the same price

 

yes thats correct...mainstream system products are always more $$$ than not that popular system products...look at alpine for example...there is alot more better products u could get comparing to the price u pay for them...unless your looking into F1 series alpine...but the price is just way beyond others

 

for the price you get sony xplode stuff for you can get other products that are a lot better....

for instance, at circuit city you can get polk, mtx, and even alpine that are a lot better then sonys xplode... at best buys you can get rockford equipment.... all around the same price but some are better then others..... i would stay away from sony mobile equipment....

dont' get me wrong i love sony equipment but only in the tv/computer/gaming departments....
