car not starting
just did a new head gasket and arp head studs, car not starting up. it clicks and starts but dies right after like it's not getting enough air or spark. i narrowed it down to the distributor, while placing the top camshaft, the distributor only fit in one way, the rotor might be turned and facing the wrong direction? i change the fire order on the distributor to what it would be if the rotor was switched and still no start, timing is retard by 1 cm or so.
Make sure the timing marks on the camshafts are lined up TDC. Also check if the firing order is correct. check all electrical connections, everything plugged in injector plugs in right order.
for timing, is it the red mark between the two black marks or is it the red mark by itself futher up? i had it to the red mark between the two black marks before and it didn't work, put to one red mark, started putt then died... could it be the distributor like i said? how it might be firing at cylinder 2+3 when suppose to fire 1+4?
