Default HORRIBLE Sloppy shifter on a GSR Trans... Not the bushings!

Ok, Im posting this for a friend

He has a 99-00 EK Hatch, with a GSR swap in it...

Problem....
Shift is incredibly sloppy... No its not the bushings, its inside the trans.. Back and forth in gear and out of gear

The shaft that hold the linkage moves a **** load... Im wondering what could be broken inside, or for that fact, how it got like that...

I know the trans will have to be dropped, not a big deal, and the trans will need to be opened, not a big deal either..

get underneath and check the rollpin that hold the linkage to the trans. Ive seen that roll pin not all the way in and it gave it room to play.

yeha, its worse than neutral.. i told him to check it... he put a bolt in it instead of the pin i have no idea why.... i was thinking the bolt was really small compared to the size of the pin, that would do it too...

the up and down pin/ rollin pin is only 50 cent at dealership. a bolt will cause it to be sloppy
