Default *confused* obd2a to obd1

okay guys... i have a 97 ek that im doing a minime swap... I WANT to use the p28 so i can ubertune for sure. i have a y7 block and a full y8 head. I also have a full turbo kit waiting to be put on.
THE QUESTION IS.... how would i use a p28 on my obd2a motor? does the conversion harness work both ways or what? or do i have to find a different method of tuning and use a newer ecu?

I haven't dealt with the obd2 system yet when swapping but I belive you need to use a OBD 2 ---> OBD 1 Converter and then you can rock your P28 ecu

can somebody clarify this?
