b18c5 question
my friend has a full b18c5 swap in his eg. The motor is a 99 so its obd2. The way hes runing the car is with an obd1 to obd2 jumper n a p73 ecu. He wants to run the car obd1 with a p28 ecu. Besides the p28 n a obd1 distributor, does he need anything else? n the car would mostlikely run better obd1 with a p28 right?

Why would you assume the car will run better with an ECU designed for a 1.6 litre SOHC motor? If he wants to use the P28, I would highly recommend that he chips it and has it tuned.

Re: b18c5 question (Padawan)
oh no not a stock p28...srry i 4 got to add dat he borrowed a chiped n tuned p28 from someone n tried it out n his car ran a lot better n faster. I dont really know how it worked with his obd2 dizzy but i guess it worked even if the dizzy was obd2. But he wants to do it properly with a chiped n tuned p28 n an obd1 dizzy. he wouldnt need anything else to make it run proper would he?

Why doesn't he just use a chipped P28 with the conversion harness? Why do all the work of fully converting it to OBD1? I don't know where you live, but chances are, you have some form of emissions. It's best to be able to revert back to a stock ECU if you need to.
