Default Brakes. Problem.

91 DA.
When i apply brakes, car pulls left and right. At faster speeds the stronger the pull.
What do you guys think can cause this?
I checked pins on the calipers. They are perfect, not seized at all. I checked all the bushings/control arms and they are fine as well.
The only thing is that brake pads have a very slight angle wear.
I'm running out of ideas on what it can be. It gets really annoying to drive it as well.
Could a wrong set toe cause this?
Any info would be apreciated.
Thanks.

you might want to check the alignment. it could also be the pads. but u said it pulls both ways.. so iuno about that. usually wen it pulls to a side wen you apply the brake, the brake fluid is not evenly distributed.

So i should just try bleeding the system then. Maybe there are air pockets?

Hmm, i'm having the same problem with my dc2. Even after getting the car re-aligned, I always pull left.

I tried bleeding it but not with a vacuum bleeder. I just bled it manually through the bleeder screws. It didn't help man. Maybe vacuum bleeding is more efficient.

Have you lowered the car lately?
Check your tie rods, while you're at it. Check your wheel bearings too.

My car has been lowered for awhile. I changed the tie rods about 4 months ago. I'll double check it.
But today i bled it one more time following the helms sequence. It helped on the low speeds. Up to 40 mph. Anything higher the car pulls.
Someone please help. Sick of this by now.

i was having the same problem. it was the alignment. and check your hub and bearings. Also after you go for a good drive stop and put your hand near each rim. feel for the rim thats the hottest. If one rim is giving off alot of heat then its the caliper. The caliper could be locking up because mine was.

So was it the allignment or was it the calipers man? Allignment shouldn't be involved here i'm thinking, since when you drive without braking the car goes straight.

sound like un-even wear of rotors or pad.

The pull may be there even when you're going and you just don't feel it...when you brake, it might be more pronounced. But if it's only under braking, check your calipers and as stated by God ( ) check your rotors. Make sure they're bled.

Ok today i finally got my hands on it. I took everything apart. Rear bottom pins in the calipers had a major seizure. Plus front piston was seized as well. I made it more or less free with the C clamp pushing it in and then mounting it back and pumping the brakes. I did this about 5 times. How do i keep it from being stuck again? Anybody knows?
Also, i cleaned up the rear pins but i had no tool to check if the rear pistons were seized. Will buy that tomorrow and double check. It made a big difference, car doesn't pull under 40 mph anymore yet it still pulls on highway speeds??
And the wheels are hot even. Both front ones are about the same temp but the rears are much colder though.

Sounds like you might want to buy new calipers. A little pricy, but considering the safety factor, you can't put a price on something saving your life if it comes down to it.
