Default Vibration in front end... Little help please!

Here's the problem. As I accelerate I feel a vibration which seems to be coming from the front passenger side. If I let go of the gas a little to where I am staying at a steady speed it goes away. I have been told it's an axle, but it makes no sense I dont hear any grinding while I turn and plus it would be continuous as my car rolls no matter if I am accelerating or not. My thought is that it could be the tranny diff going out. I had a problem similar to this with a single cam si tranny. Replaced it and it was good but everyone says it wouldnt be that. Figured I would ask you guys and see what you think.

Any help would be great!

Does it do it more if you turn right or left?

Can you feel it in the steering wheel?

Does it do it when you are on the brakes?

Have you jacked up that side of the car and shook the wheel/tire to see if you have any play?

Inspect the tire for flat spots or a bubble, or a bent rim, or lost wheel weights.

There's a start... and a bent axle would do it all the time.

No

Yes

Yes, but thats a different vibration, I know for a fact my rotors are warped.

No, I am on vacation, I haven't had time to check out the front end, tie rods etc but I'm pretty sure thats all good because I checked it about two months ago.

Tires are brand new and fine, I mounted them, wheels are straight doubled checked them when I balanced them, and all wheels weights are fine.

Sorry I should of added this to my original post.

check your intermediate shaft, the bearing in there might be going bad.

Going to check everything out tomorrow. I will post what I find, and "dont" find. I hope it's not the differential.

From my experience, vibration problems are among the most difficult to deal with. Potential causes include (in no particular order of importance):

1. Bent rim
2. Bad tire
3. Worn/loose wheel bearing
4. Bad bushing
5. Warped brake rotor (unlikely)
6. Bad axle
7. Out of balance wheels
8. Bad shocks (unlikely)
9. Frame damage or bent component from an accident
10. Misaligned wheels
11. Bent hub
12. Loose steering rack end bushing
13. Bad balljoint/tie rod.

I had a very similer problem. I had a b16 with 90-91 integra axles and i had a shake when i accelerated from my passenger side. It would go away when i wasnt accelerateing. It turns out it was the axle/ halfshaft combo. I changed out the 90 integra for an 89 teg axle. Problem solved. The axle was to long and binding a little. Hope this helps

Worked on it today, fixed half the problem. I changed out with a 89 Integra halfshaft. It took most the vibration away, but there was still a little and felt like driver side. So I checked driver side and the inner boot was totally blown out and no grease left. So that's on tomorrows agenda. Also when I pulled the halfshaft out it fell apart, 3 pieces of that baby!

Thanks for all the help.

Ok, I put a 89 Integra half shaft on the other side too. Works awesome, smooth drive. The old axle completely fell apart with bearings poping out!

Thanks again for the help.
