Default cleaning engine bay

im goint to clean my engine bay after i get my new gsr motor in. but wat should i do, besides cover battery and intake. anything im missing?

do it before the engine is installed.

if the engine is in you have to cover the alt and the dizzy. honda electronics dont like water at all

all you need to do is cover the distributor. and don't spray at the spark plug wires for too long.

degrease and use a pressure washer to spray quickly around. don't flood it

I usually cover up the distributor, battery, and intake.

Other than that, just be careful around the spark plugs and the alternator.

Refer to the detailing faq in the A/C forum. I usually cover up the dizzy, fusebox, battery and intake, then spray it down with water and simple green or engine brite ( foam degreaser) then close the hood and let the car run for 5 min. ( this heats up the water in the bay and steam cleans the engine). Then wipe everything down with a terry cloth towel. Tire foam will restore your valve cover's color and likewise with amor all and radiator hoses.
