Default how to clean engine bay

How to clean engine bay that has a turbo. I heard you have to cover up the alternator and distributor. Is their anything else to cover up like the battery or turbo or open cables?

Do your best to keep water out of anything electrical, plugs, and just use common sense.

We do them all the time, the only one issue we had was when the idiot did it and got water in the cap/plug tubes. Was fixed easily, but it's just as easily avoided.
