Default tach hook-up but no wire from distributor

i did a swap with a jdm b16 (obd2a) into a 00 civic (obd2b) and when i hooked up the distributor there was no wire on the distributor side of the plug for the engine speed output (tach wire). now the tach does not work. just wondering what wire from the ecu do i hook the tach up to? from the posts iv been reading people have been saying its plug "C" slot "2" ckp-p sensor (blue). is that right?

make it easy on yourself. there is a plug at the drivers side firewall that is all by itself with some blue tape and a black plug on it. use a meter and verify the signal. the dist still has an AC wire for tach signal.

tach wire is on the distrib, big fat blue one by its self, but there is also one on the driver side, blue wire on the harness

you dont have to do all that. i have a '00 and all you do is take out the gauge cluster and splice one of the wires that clips into your stock tach. ( not sure what color)

it sounds like the original poster already had the signal wire in the engine bay...might as well just shorten it and connect to the check connector.

thats how i have mine done, its the only solid blue wire on the distrib harness, unless it matters by obd, then it prolly doesnt, but yea, u dont have to do it like that, there are other ways, mine was just like that cause thats how i got the car
