Hello-

Hopefully a somewhat simple question : My car has been sitting stagnant for almost 3 years, 1.5 of which the battery has been disconnected.

when I finish my rebuild, do I need to go through and program the brain again? Forgive me if my question seems dumb or if I am using the incorrect terminology, I have never programmed an alarm before

 

esp brain should have held memory.

 

JSPECSIR is correct it should hold its programing in ROM, however voltage spikes and drops can cause the alarm to latch up and programing and remote programing can be lost.......

Try this, when your ready to hook up the batt. turn on the ign. switch to run then connect the batt., turn off ign. and try remote(s), if alarm has maintained memory of it's programing everything will work, if not you will have to reprogram.
