Default alarm kill start question

ok well i disconnected my positive terminal connector to save battery life while car was being operated on.. and my alarm popper does not work so theres no way to turn the alarm off when i reconnect the positive battery cable, is there any way to disable the alarm from coming on? ive dissconnected everything from the alarm box but it still has a kill start somewhere that must bypass the alarm or something is what im thinking... is there any way to bypass this problem i just need to start it up and test something, then ill go get the popper fixed! thanks!

I wouldn't post this kind of information, we have enough problems with theft as it is.

If what you are saying is that you don't want the alarm to automatically going off when the battery is disconnected and then re-connected, the answer is easy.

In most of the cars that I've built, I've installed a large switch (SCCA approved and available through Summit Racing) to turn off the battery. Bypassing this (and going through as small a fuse as possible!) is the power going to the alarm. This way, the alarm always has power and will function. The reason for making the fuse as small as possible is so that a thief only has a limited amount of amps to start the car.

Keep in mind that I normally fabricate a solid lock to keep the hood closed.

What kind of alarm?

Some alarms have a valet switch/keypad, you can enter a seq. code that will bypass the stater disable. Talk to the shop near you that sells your brand of alarm.
