Default broken alarm remote cannot disarm to reprogram new remote

ok i have the alarm RST-774R installed on my 1990 crx si and i installed it myself. stupid me i never set up the pin code with the valet switch. also i never programed the backup remote cuz i figured i would never want to use it. anyways heres my delima: the 2 way remote doesnt work anymore i (with a fresh battery and all). so i want to program my backup remote to work but the alarm is armed. i thought if i disconnected the battery that i would reset the alarm but its doesnt work. anyone know how i can disarm the alarm without a working remote? or how i can program the remote while the alarm is armed?

Wow. Talk about a Viper/DEI knockoff/ripoff... http://www.advance-security.com.tw/product_p1.htm

Anyways... I looked on their website for a manual of some kind, but their site sucks and they offer no support whatsoever...

Unless you have the install/programming manual, you're pretty much out of luck.

With DEI products, you turn the key to "ON", then press the valet switch once (or how ever many times it's programmed for) to disarm without the remote. Maybe they ripped off the way the alarm operates as well as the look of the remote, so I guess you could try that. :shrugs:
