Default valve spring and retainer install

I want to install uprated valve springs and titanium retainers in my H22A but i would like to know if it is possible to do without removing the head. Anyone know? Thanks.

you can use an air compressor to pressurize the cylinder so the valve didnt fall down when you pulled the retainer off. Just remember to have that particular cylinder at TDC so you dont lose the valve and be forced to take the head off.

I've done V8's with air but it might be hard to get your fingers down in there on a Honda.

i didnt think it was possible because you have to compress the spring to get the retainer off right?

ive done it numerous times it can be done with the head on. you just need the snap on tool ohc spring compressor . Fill up the cylinder your working on with air to abt 100 psi and you should be good
