ok my friend an me just got back from lookin at this motor for him , the buy said it was gsr motor the block said b18c but it didnt have the gsr intake manifold it looked to be a b16a manifold , now i remeber there are things we can look for to figure out exaxtly what motor this is , if you please tell me how to identify what head what block an what tranny cuz im thinkin that we stumbled upon a type r motor or a gsr motor with a b16a head ,

Look on the block next to the transmission, it will have the engine code.

 

i no to look at the engine code , but both jdm gsr's an type r's say b18c now the head code was pr3-4 an the tranny was y21 now is this a type r motor

 

alright according to the engine block its a JDM integra SIR basically a JDM gsr now the tranny yo gave was off a del solvtec or a JDM civic sir both of which are b16a engiens but it doesn't matter due to the fact that all b-series stuff moutns to other b-series stuff just make him drop the price b/c the tranny is onlyworth liek 650 max
