Default Anyone Interested in a TypeOne 2.5" Catback Used for ONLY 3 Weeks

Mods, please don't move. I spend most of my forum surfing time here in the Type-R forum so I've grown to trust people here. With that said, I want to sell it to a fellow Type-R enthusiast.

Here's a link to my Classified Post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=166287

If you need more information about this catback, please visit the following topic https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=157762

A couple of people have inquired about the b-pipe as well. If you can find someone to buy my axleback, then I could work something out. I really have no use for the axleback so I'm trying to sell the system as a whole.

I thought the mugen is not 2.5", so you're downgrading?

Seriously or are you just teasing CPR?
I dont' see how Mugen is a downgrade, esp. not after TodaSi's post about
only losing 3 whp after unbolting. I know this isn't the whole story..but!

You could look at it that way but the way I see it, I'm downgrading the tubing size, but not performance. I'm sticking to bolt-ons for a while so I do not really benefit a lot from a 2.5" catback. If I had aftermarket cams, then I would stick with the TypeOne to accomodate the increased flow. I also want an exhaust that sounds like stock.

i thought the Type One wasn't 2.5??? If it is all the better since it would bolt directly to my JDM header and cat. mines currently been shipped the Axle back but no B pipes in stock.

Exhausts are measured by their outer diameter and not inner diameter. This goes for all systems be it 5Zigen, Kakimoto, ApexN1, SMSP, etc.

I believe headers are measured in the same manner. Your 2.5" JDM header does not have a 2.5" inner diameter.

I believe that a 2.5" catalytic converter is the only one that actually reports inner diameter.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

yea i knew there was a outside and inside diameter but i was under the assumption that it was a direct bolt on for Factory size ITR exhuast. that's y i was wondering, cause i'm having a B pipe made temporalry till the B pipes come in stock and would be much easier if it was all the same size piping.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but I'll try to help anyway. The TypeOne b-pipe is direct bolt-on to the stock TypeR system. I am running the stock USDM catalytic converter right now. If I wanted, I can take off the TypeOne axleback and put the stock TypeR muffler back on. Hope that helps.
