Default Help please !!!

I’m puzzled, the car feels very unstable at higher speeds (60 + mph to be exact)… it feels like it wants to go left to right and that makes it kind of difficult to keep it going straight, now I also experience some vibrations but I’m assuming that its form the wheels since they are bent a little.

Real question; could this be an alignment issue??? At lower speed it feels fine but as soon you reach highway speeds it just feels lose, like it wants to get away from ya….

Please any input is appreciated, thanks.

bent wheels? you've just answered your own question.

if they weren't bent, i'd suggest to get your wheels balanced, if that didn't work, get an alignment.

I thought a bent wheel would cause nothing more then vibration but what about the part where the steering feels so light and it is so hard to keep the car going staraight ... very har to keep the car in control .... feels like I am losing control of the car ????

If all of that is bent wheel then I guess, thats what I will do, replace the wheels and get an alignment done ...

If it comes back I'll be here again LOL

You'll need a replacement or repair for the bent rim, and an alignment to fix this problem. *Don't forget to have the wheel balanced.

its possible that your bent wheel/wheels are causing a wandering issue but i highly doubt it......its more likely that when your wheel/wheels got bent the caster got pushed out of spec. by a bent control arm or a shifted subframe or a bent strut ect.

if your caster is out 0.5 degrees or more from side to side then the vehicle tends to wander around.... if i remember correctly thats from having too little caster or a more negative reading. id get it into an alighnment shop

toe-out!
This makes the car "hunt" (go all over the road). thats why we have "toe-in"

Yeah I had that exact problem with my first set of wheels. I tried getting it balanced and an aligned and it still didn't work. The way I had to do it was get a whole new set of wheels which was expensive.
