Question on wire harness
There is a wire that goes to some where behind the timing belt cover, I got a new engine and the new engine doesn't have this harness, my old engine, a d16y7 does. What is this for? Some kind of sensor I would assume. The first thing that comes to mind is the crank position sensor. But I'm not sure. Please some one let me know, I can take a pic tomorrow if needed.

Most likely it is the CKF, If you are using or are swapping this into a car that is OBD1, You can bypass it by using an obd1 distributor, along with an obd1 ecu. You can bypass it also in an OBD2 car, using an obd1 distributor, and running the wires from the distributor to the ECU. If you do not wish to do it that way, you will have to remove the timing cover, crank pulley, and oil pump, and swap them with those from your old D16Y7.
Goodluck with it, and keep us updated.

Whats CKF? How hard is it to remove and reinstall the oil pump?

you need to remove the oil pan, timing belt, oil pump...
the CKF is there to check for missfire to meet the OBD2 emissions standard.
All jdm bXX-Dxx-Hxx run like obd1
the plugs, ecm, sensors is like obd2 but the program inside the ECM is obd1.
you can use a obd2 dizzi with a obd1 ecm

Say I have a chipped obd1 ecu, will I need to worry about the sensor then?
