Default dont need a crank sensor on hybrid?

i have a obd2 EK with obd1 b18b. currently im using obd2 dist to plug straight into the engine harness. the timing belt snapped on my way to work and ripped the crank sensor at the crank pulley. instead of replacing the crank sensor, if i slap on a obd1 distributor, can i elimnate the crank sensor?

The crank sensor by the crank pulley you are referring to is the crank fluctuation sensor but it doesn't have anything to do with the distributor. If you have an OBD1 B18B then it should not have that sensor unless the oil pump was switched to an OBD2 oil pump and then the sensor was added. If you are using an OBD1 ECU, it doesn't look for a crank fluctuation sensor so you won't have to worry about it.
