how to define the 170 hp b16a?
i read many fourms in many sites. its ease to define the sir from the sir II
but my question is in the sir II how to define the 160hp from the 170hp the only thing i found is from its serial it should start with 54xxxxx . is that true ?
and is there are other way to can define the 170hp

theres a date stamped on the head that you could use for confirmation. check for between 92-95 to be safe.
just search too. i know this has been covered multiple times. you just ahve to be careful, because alot of the old (obd-0) b16a's are high mileage

Yes, there is a website that tells the differences through the years. I believe some are valve cover "vtec" location, the intake manifold, the harness plugs, the head stamped (duh), etc.......... search man
