Looking to get my intercooler this friday on payday and just need to know what size will work with out cutting my bumper on my 00 SI so... thanks for anyone's help

 

Ask in the em1 crew thread?Wade or Vapor would probably have a good idea which ones.I am using the 600hp precision but i had to do some cutting and I dont have an oem bumper.

 

Yea i posted it as well on our site. Im waiten for wade to come back. I tried to talk to him tonight on AIM but he was away.

 

CCA 31" x 6" x 3"

Fit with oem fogs on my 99 hb and some trimming to the black pieces on the back of the bumper grille.

 

ok ive decided on a intercooler.


High density core with overall dimension of 26 3/4"L x 6 3/8"H x 3 1/2"D.
2.5" OD inlet/outlet.
Will support up to 350hp.




Ill swing by inline pro prob at end of the month to pick up the intercooler and prob w/g

personally, i hate the way that intercooler looks (too short and not tall enough) and its a pain in the *** to mount it. Yes, it is very efficent but there are other IC out there cheaper, just as effective, and would look better mounted on ur car (ie: drag).

I have that and I'm trying to find something to replace it myself.
The piping goes right across where the fogs would be, so it would not work in that case. this setup pushes on my bumper a bit, so i'd like something fuller, that fits better

 

cca intercoolers are rated at like 300hp+ and require no cutting. Or so there site says.

 

i easily fit my 24x12x3" core sized cooler on my EM1.

i did however have to trim my front bumper support on the back to "notch" it for hte FMIC, but i didnt have to remove it.

 

what kind of intercooler is that mr vapor?

drag isnt as efficient. i had one and its smaller and the outlets are ****.. 2.25 and 2.5

im looking for a better ic that fits with bumper support!

 

if u do decide to go with the precision and turbo intercooler, I that exact one for sale. its brand spanking new still in package. I can cut u a sweet deal for a very efficient intercooler.

so what i/c lets u keep the oem fogs and not cut the bumper/support?

 

i have a garrett 650hp bar and plate intercooler that fills 99-00 civic bumpers quite nicely and fit w/ the bumper support.

I've got a 24x12x3 also...

Just had to trim the plastic a little bit, but I still retain the full lower grille and I didn't have to notch the support at all...

 

but do they fit w/ the oem fogs?

 

the precision 350 fit my buddys 99 Coupe GREAT.... looks badass too
