Default Intercooler Design

I have decided to get a custom intercooler from Forge Motorsports. I am going to go with Mark Lamond's design. What I want to know is the MAX size I can go with by cutting the bumper support. 6" height is kinda puny! Correct me if I am wrong, but FFgeoff said that extruded core ICs are better than tube and fin.

i chopped up my bumper to fit a 20x10x2.75 inch core. i think the highest you can get away without chopping is 7 inches.

there really isnt a "better". each has its pros and cons based on your needs.

This is what i did to my IC to make it flow better...

It´s sheet metal I shaped like a pipe cut in half and then welded in place..
