Balancing my motor?
Well everyone I'm currently working on my b18c1 build and things are moving along smoothly, but I just had a few questions. I have it sleeved, closed deck by darton, stock bore, and have all my forged internals ready to go in. Just wondering if you guys think that I need to align and hone my mains, and if balancing my crank is necessary. My local machine guy said that my mains looked pretty good, but most hondas are off just slightly. Just want to know what everyone else thinks and if this stuff would be necessary and also what else I would need to do before I put it all back together. Thanks for the help ahead of time.

as long as your using the matching mains/block and crank you most likely dont need an align hone....
balancing, i always say yes for safety sake, most aftermarket rods and pistons are balanced very well but i always say get the whole rotating assembly balanced on a new build they should balance it with the flywheel on

Re: (turbotime)
Thanks for the info. So when I go to balance the whole rotating assembly, should I first put the motor together; the whole block and then take it to be balanced?
