ECU not getting constant power?
I think i've figured out my running rich problem. I've discovered that my car (92 Civic 4dr with b16a/P30) won't throw a code when I connect both the slots in the jumper plug...the check engine light comes on and just stays on. I THINK the car is running in limp mode every time I start it up, because the ecu isn't getting constant power....which makes perfect sense, because im running extremly rich and I have no Vtec.
What could cause me not to have constant power to my ecu?

******* awesome...exactly what it was! thanks man
Oh, and while im at it, I got my car to actually throw codes. When I got home, instead of shutting the car off, I just stalled it (so that power would remain going through the whole car). Hooked up a paperclip to the jumper switch, and it threw four codes.
TPS Sensor, MAP Sensor, TDC Sensor, and Traction control on JDM ECU. Took out the map sensor from the IM, and its all black and burnt and has a hole in it...im not overheating, so what could cause it to do that?
Whats also odd is that I have NO knock sensor....and its not throing a knock sensor code...

Which JDM ECU?
P30 or P72? then it will throw the knock code after about 5 minutes of driving.
If the ECU does not have the knock sensor capability it will not set the code for it.
Also with these codes set your not running anywhere near normally, it may not set the knock code with those present. (I'm shocked it runs at all)
