Default Help with balljoint removal from the hub

Can anyone tell me how to remove the ball joint from this hub? I cannot see the ring i need to remove in order to wack it out. It doesnt have the little holes so i can pull it appart, even behind where the picture cannot show. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

i cut them off the car because it would spin with the ball joint.

Turns out there was no ring...used a 5 ft bar and a sledge and got the bitch out. The new one slid right in after some hammering. Thanks guys!

you have to get the rest of the boot off to get the snapring off then hammer the ball joint out from that side. i have never seen one get stuck so bad a big hammer wouldnt take car of it.

sledge hammer had to be employed. Along with a 5 ft pipe that we used as a press. 5 hits and it was out.

mine was done for free. A shop said it'd be 200 bucks to get everything done, with labor. 65 for the balljoint alone. i paid 27 for it at autozone.....

DIY FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!
