Default Magnaflow Oval Muffler Setup, Offset or Centered???

I'm about ready to order my resonator and muffler for my custom exhaust setup. For those of you with magnaflow oval mufflers did you buy one with an offset in and the offset out (which is how the stock muffler is routed) or did you buy the centered in/out version. Here's a link for the different variations, I'm planning on purchasing from Jegs: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs...20983
Btw, I'd like the setup to look relatively stock, with the exception of 3" piping all the way back.

Also here's a good link of how I'd like it to look like, scroll down to the bottom pics though where he converted it to the single tip, that's what I'm going for: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1600764&page=1

the magnaflow mufflers sound like ****, even with a resonator or two. they are too loud. try a dynamax muffler, those are great, nice and quiet during normal driving but open up nicely when you get on it.

i have a magnaflow on my crx. its center in and out with 2.5" piping.
i dont have a resonator and its really not that loud.
it would not be noticeable and stock looking if i painted the shiny SS muffler flat black.

Dynomax super turbo mufflers are more quiet and also cheaper. How loud do you want it to sound? A longer case length will quiet it more (at least 18 inches) and also offset/offset will quiet it a little more. Also, "resonators" don't really don't quiet much at all... glasspacks with the snarls open to the front will quiet down the weed-eater sound and then some. I have a long glasspack installed this way, and my exhaust is pretty quiet.

here is a pic of my 20" case length dynomax 2.5 inch

Thanks for the replies. Due to time constraints and other factors I'm going with a 3" diameter half-back exhaust setup for the time being. I have an appointment to get my car tuned on Monday for the turbo setup, and I couldn't get a local shop to run a 3" setup all the back.... they said it wouldn't fit , whatever. Instead I bought 2 dynomax bullet mufflers and the exhaust will exit right before the right rear wheel, so hopefully it won't be too obnoxiously loud. Down the road, I'll probably extend the exhaust to the rear with a dynomax oval muffler. I'll post pics when it's complete, I thought about leaving the unused oem muffler on there for now just to fool some peeps, sleeper style...at least till I hit full boost.
