Raptor Muffler ? ...
Hey guys well i'm putting together the exhaust system for my turbo setup , and i've finally decided on 2.5" , now i'm trying to find a muffler rather than going with a cannister setup i was going for a apex'i ws look or magnaflow. Well upon looking for a 2.5" inlet muffler (magna or es oval) i stumbled upon this ...
http://store.summitracing.com/...w=sku
so anyone have any experience with this muffler ? or anyone think it should be pretty comparable to a magnaflow or yet i even compare it to a es oval setup ? ...
the setup will be resonated so tone shouldn't be too bad i'm just looking for something quiet for daily driving but a little more noticeable in the high rpm's ...
so lemme here your opinions ...
or
- Thanks Justin

Seems cheap to me, too. I'm also thinking that it's probably for a muscle car (being what Summit specializes in, and that I've never seen it on their sport compact website). Hey but for 20 bucks, might as well try and see if it works.

yeah that's what a lot of people have been saying , the current "N/A" setup i'm running on my car is 2.25" straight pipe (no cat) and it sounds nice until you past 3.5k than it's just the usual honda rasp and i dunno as of late i've been admiring a quiet stockish sounding exhaust or something w/ a lower tone for daily driving (i.e. apex'i ws) but since the turbo funds took all my money i figure this muffler maybe a cheap efficienct route that may satisfty me ...
i wanted a rsx-s or s2k muffler but found out the inlet is 2.25 or 2" i believe figured don't really want to bottle neck the exhaust so i figured this maybe a cheap way of findiing my stockish sounding exhaust w/ the help of a resonator ...

Sounds like the turbo muffler i bought from Autozone for 20 bucks.
Quiet for the first week, and then got louder.
Wouldn't compare it to a catback Db. levels.
Definately, very modest.

Just wondering for guys running these types of mufflers on EGs, I just bought one for my new EG hatch, but I don't have the car yet. I'm wondering if an oval muffler with a 14" body fits under the rear bumper right?
Oh, and about this muffler, go for it. Who care's if their main market is domestics, I don't think the muffler knows what kind of car it's on, and to me most of these are the same as the other.
