Default catback setup - 1 resonator + 1 muffler or 2 resonators?

I'm going with a custom catback setup for my turbo crx.

I've been debating whether to get a resonator and a muffler(magnaflow straight thru) OR 2 resonators(22" and 14") and no muffler. The 2nd resonator would replace where the muffler would be. Anyone have experience with the later? Basically, how would they compare in noise level? I dont care about looks, just loudness vs performance. tia

i would recommand 2 resonators (22 both if possible) if you have a 3 inch exhaust pipping.

i suggest straight through resonator + straight through oval muffler (oval over round resonator will give lower pitch sound) the smaller the resonator/muffler the louder it will sound.

i've ran this setup.. its loud, but not as loud as just having 1 resonator.. this is on a 3" setup as well..

Just go with 3" pipe and a straight thru oval muffler. The resonator is going to add a little weight but not make much difference (if any) in sound. I really couldn't tell any difference when I welded up a Dynomax bullet muffler in front of my 3" Magnaflow.
